Ezine Articles By Tom Mc Carrick

Ezine advertising is one of the best ways of generating traffic for your website. Of all the methods of getting website traffic, it's one of the most effective. If it's your aim to get massive traffic and backlinks to your site, you should definitely consider it. And it's one of the most inexpensive forms of advertising on the Internet. And it's easy to track how it is performing - you get immediate results and you can target your campaign effectively.

Another benefit of ezines is, there's one for just about any niche, so the advertising can be very targeted. You can be sure that there is one available for your niche, whatever that may happen to be.

It is inexpensive relative to most other forms of advertising (including pay-per-click) - not only on a "cost per thousand", but also on a results basis.

If you have not used it before, I would recommend that you try it.

It's important to bear in my that the purpose of an ezine ad is not to "get a sale" - it's to get a click. The sales are generated indirectly. Also the ad should be run at least 3 times to test the results.

Types of ezine ads:

1. Short Classified Type: -the easiest (with 3 types of placement):

-Top Sponsor

-Middle Sponsor

-Bottom Sponsor

2. Solo Ads: (where the ad takes up the entire ezine)

3. Joint Venture or Endorsed Mailing

I will concentrate for now, on 1 - the Short Classified type. Remember that the initial purpose is to arouse curiosity, to get the reader interested and give an incentive to take further action, such as "get your free bonus". The bottom line is, get them to click the link!

The Headline: (this is critical)

Leading and trailing arrows or asterisks can be very effective. The body follows after the heading and is basically a few lines of "benefit statements" between the headline and the "call to action". It should not be too "hypey", or too long-winded. Use "power words" and let the user know WIIFM (what's in it for me).

Then, the call to action tells the user exactly what to do, and stress the urgency.

The best ads are short and to-the point, without too much "padding". The readers may not appreciate having to read down through a few pages of copy, which could have been condensed into a handful of lines.

Also, find out what is the publisher's relation to the list members - does he interact with them. If so, an endorsement from the publisher can carry much weight.

It can be difficult to find relevant ezines and you may have to do some digging. Do a search on your niche's keywords and do some research on the top listed advertisers. There is a good chance that these companies will be using a an ezine or a newsletter which you can subscribe to. You may need to contact each company directly but it will definitely be worth the time and effort.

And of course, check out the ezine "directories". They are a valuable resource of information.

More Ways to Promote Your Business By John K Vincent

In today's competitive marketplace, there is no such thing as too much advertising. You need to get your name out there as much as possible. Many people will have no idea you exist if you don't take the time and money to tell them.

A good way to promote your business is to attend community events. Attend festivals, county fairs, or even flea markets and set up a table or booth. Be sure to have plenty of business cards on hand, flyers letting the potential customers know exactly what products or services you offer, and something to hand out to remind them of your business. Magnets and pens are great for this purpose.

Another thing you can do to promote your business at the event is have a great sign to attract people. Make sure the sign or banner is large enough that people can see it from a distance. You want to make sure it is a clean design and you will need to have your logo on it. Custom Vinyl Banners are great because they can easily fit in your car, they are durable in most any weather, and you can have them created to meet your needs.

A final way to promote your business is in the phone book. Many people don't take the time to check out all of the businesses offering the products or services they need; instead, their eyes are drawn to the larger print ads. Investing in an ad is not that expensive and can draw in many new customers. It will also make it easier for customers to find your number again in the future.
